Metallography

In order to examine the microstructures of the parts produced in the company, several samples of each melting part are taken in accordance with the proposal of American Foundry Society (AFS) and they will be prepared upon their surfaces mounting with abrasive materials.

The qualitative and quantitative metallography of samples are performed before and after H-operation. The quantitative metallography is performed by Clemex Vision Image Analysis software program and for having full conformity of the quantitative metallography results with microstructural particulars, at least ten points of the sample will be quantitatively analyzed and the results average with 95% confidence limit will be presented. Determining graphite percent, number of graphite per R Unit, graphite size, sphericity measures, Pearlite and ferrite phase percent are some samples of the analysis performed upon applying visual analysis software.
